Our Story
Global Church Movements
Global Church Movements, though previously existing in CCCI in various forms, was formalized in March 2010 as one of the worldwide strategies of the organization. Historically, Campus Crusade for Christ International has used various ministry strategies to resource the Church. These strategies include evangelism, discipleship training, leadership development, partnerships and church planting through training as well as the use of the JESUS film. The primary purpose of GCM, working together in the Body of Christ, is to help fulfill the Great Commission by promoting Christian witness and multiplying churches and fellowships.
After 2000 years of outreach and missionary activity, the Church continues to impact only a fraction of the world's people. The challenge we face today is how to effectively connect the remaining 70% to Christ. It is our conviction that we, as followers of Jesus Christ, have the biblical mandate and spiritual responsibility to establish churches where there are none.
Our Challenge
Over two thousand years have passed since Jesus Christ commanded His followers to go and make disciples of all nations Mt. 28:18. By the end of 2011, there were more than seven billion people living on planet earth, of which only two billion would identify themselves as Christians. That means a staggering 70% of the world's population still has no connection to Christ and His Church.
